About Circles of Women:

How is Circles of Women South Central related to Woman Within International?
Circles of Women South Central is licensed to offer the Woman Within Training Weekend in Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico. Woman Within International maintains the program and supports the region. The program is the same no matter where you attend.

Are you connected to The Mankind Project?
While we are not officially affiliated with The Mankind Project, they do share a mission of offering people an opportunity to discover more about themselves. The Mankind Project is focused on men, and we are focused on women.
Is the Woman Within weekend like the Warrior weekend?
No. This is not a female version of a Warrior weekend. This weekend is by and about women. We do our work very differently from the way men do theirs.
Is the organization affiliated with a religion?
Our program is not based on any religion and does not promote any one belief over another. The sessions blend a number of experiences drawn from many cultures and practices, and we invite you to honor your own beliefs.

About the weekend:

What will I get from this experience?

We cannot say exactly what you will get because every woman receives something different for herself. However here are a few things that other women have shared:

  • Clarity around who you are and what you want out of life;
  • Trust in yourself;
  • Deeper connection to joy and living in the present moment;
  • The expression and release of painful emotions;
  • Strong connection to, and sense of trust in, other women;
  • Renewed energy in life.

How will I know if this is right for me?
We trust that each woman intuitively knows what is right for her. The training provides the tools to delve deeper into your own inner wisdom and to find the answers that are right for you. We are there to help you get where you want to go. Throughout the Weekend you will be presented with choices – you decide how much or how little you participate in the various sessions.
What exactly happens on the Woman Within Weekend?
We will not tell you exactly what will happen on the weekend, because, in our experience, when a woman is given too much information she may try to prepare for each experience and in this way not be fully present in the moment. At the same time, we know that you may have many questions and we are happy to answer them as best we can. The weekend takes place from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. There are typically 16-32 participants and 24-34 staff women. Some of these women will be staffing for the first time, while others will have had decades of experience and advanced training. The leadership team on a weekend consists of 5-10 women who have received extensive practical and theoretical training in women’s work. All staff women have completed their own weekend.
Is the weekend like therapy?
The weekend is about self-discovery. It is not a replacement for therapy. Whether they’ve done a lot of therapy or none, many women say the weekend meets them where they are and empowers them to get where they want to go.
Am I too young or too old to attend the weekend?
We welcome women of all ages. Women 18 to their 80s have attended and been blessed by the gifts they received from the weekend.
Is it possible to pay a reduced rate?

Yes. You have three options for paying a reduced rate. Women can request financial assistance from Circles of Women.  For more info >

We also offer a military discount of $100 (about 15 percent) to all members or former members of the Armed Forces. Those receiving the military discount may also apply for financial aid.  Last (but chronologically first) is the Early Bird Discount, which cannot be taken with a scholarship or the military discount.

$50 off – Early Bird Discount
$100 off – Military Discount
$300 off – Financial Aid Scholarship

What if I sign up and can’t go?

We will refund fees (less a $250 non-refundable deposit) if we receive your cancellation notice (available on the cancellation policy page) at least 30 days before the first day of the training. See the full cancellation policy >

Can I arrive late, leave early or sleep off-site?
No, this is not recommended. All experiences build upon each other. Missing a session or leaving the site will reduce the value of the weekend for you.
What do I wear?
Most women wear very casual, comfortable clothes – jeans or yoga pants, t-shirts and sweatshirts are perfect.
What's the food like?
While the menu changes, nourishing meals and snacks will be provided from Saturday morning through the end of the weekend. Please arrive on Friday having eaten dinner. You may bring additional food if you want or make special dietary requests. You’ll get more information on food storage and procedures after you register for the weekend.
What about medications?
No alcohol or drugs are permitted on the weekend. Please bring and take your doctor-prescribed medications responsibly. We ask that you refrain from taking any over-the-counter medications.
What about insects?
Bugs and insects exist at the weekend location. If you have special allergies or concerns about being in nature, bring what you need to protect yourself.
Will I get enough sleep?
You will be given ample time for sleeping. We are aware that you need and deserve rest to experience the most benefit from the weekend. The mattresses may not be to your comfort level. Women often bring a mattress topper.
Will there be a circle near me after my weekend?
We have circles in many places in our region. It depends on where you live and whether there are women in the community in your area. On your weekend, you will be given information about circles in your area. If you want more information, contact the regional registration office or the international office at 281-460-3431.

We have many opportunities for you to stay connected to our community. As a volunteer for the Circles of Women South Central community, you touch the lives of other women and invite them to greater authenticity and wholeness.
