Yes. You have two options for paying a reduced rate. Women may request a limited number of $200 financial aid scholarships from Circles of Women.
We also offer a military discount of $100 to all current or former members of the Armed Forces. Those receiving the military discount may also apply for a financial aid scholarship. Please contact our Center Director, Beth Deruelle, at firstname.lastname@example.org, for additional information around paying for this Weekend.
What if I sign up and can’t go?
We will refund fees (less a $150 non-refundable deposit) if we receive your cancellation notice (available on the Cancellation Policy page
) at least 30 days before the first day of the training. See the full cancellation policy
Can I arrive late, leave early or sleep off-site?
No, this is not recommended. All experiences build upon each other. Missing a session or leaving the site will reduce the value of the Weekend for you.
What do I wear?
Most women wear very casual, comfortable clothes – jeans or yoga pants, t-shirts and sweatshirts are perfect.
What’s the food like?
While the menu changes, nourishing meals and snacks will be provided from Saturday morning through the end of the Weekend. Please arrive on Friday having eaten dinner. You may bring additional food if you want. We do offer vegetarian options throughout the Weekend. You’ll get more information on food storage and procedures after you register for the Weekend.
What about medications?
No alcohol or drugs are permitted on the weekend. Please bring and take your doctor-prescribed medications responsibly. We ask that you refrain from taking any over-the-counter medications.
What about insects?
Bugs and insects exist at the weekend location. If you have special allergies or concerns about being in nature, bring what you need to protect yourself.
Will I get enough sleep?
You will be given ample time for sleeping. We are aware that you need and deserve rest to experience the most benefit from the Weekend. At the South Central site you are required to bring all of your own bedding; this can help with comfort level and sleep quality.
Will there be a Woman Within Circle near me after my Weekend?
We have Circles in many places in our region. It depends on where you live and whether there are women in the community in your area. On your Weekend, you will be given information about Circles in your area.
Is the organization affiliated with a religion?
Our program is not based on any religion and does not promote any one belief over another. The sessions blend a number of experiences drawn from many cultures and practices, and we invite you to honor your own beliefs.
Is the Woman Within Weekend like the Warrior weekend offered by The ManKind Project?
No. This is not a female version of a Warrior weekend. This weekend is by and about women. We do our work very differently from the way men do theirs.
Are you connected to The ManKind Project?
While we are not officially affiliated with The ManKind Project, we do share a mission of offering people an opportunity to discover more about themselves. The ManKind Project
is focused on men, and we are focused on women.
